Take a cruise aboard the Muskrat Sally (Pontoon Boat) and learn about some of the significant sites around Wikwemikong Bay. You cruise can last anywhere from one to three hours, depending on your interests and schedule.
Captain/Indian Guide Gord Odjig will take you for a ride around Wikwemikong Bay while telling stories and legends about the history and culture of the people of Wikwemikong. Hear the story of "Chi Gineebik" and the old ship wreck on the shores of Spirit Creek.
During the trip, you and the kids can take turns being Captain and drive the boat.
Bring a towel and picnic basket. The tour includes a stop at a beautiful sand beach where the water is incredibly warm and shallow enough for small children. Search the shores for fossils under the midday sun.
The next stop is a beautiful, handcrafted cabin made by Gordie and friends. Here, we make a small fire and have a weiner roast or fish fry (if you're still hungry), check out the cabin, visit, relax, and do some beach combing until it is time to go home.
Bookings are restricted to a minimum of four people, and maximum of 8 people. Fees range from $20/person for adults, and $10 for children aged 13 and under.
