In the spring of 2002, Gordie and his friends built a cozy log cabin on the shores of Wikwemikong (Smith) Bay utilizing cedar timbers harvested from the very area where the cabin now stands.

This hand made cabin features a comfortable family size room on the main level with a small wood stove for chilly nights or winter camping. The main level also has access to a sheltered deck- excellent for barbecues or just enjoying the day in the cool shade, and access to a loft. The loft contains two double beds, spacious balcony with stairway access, and generous view of Wikwemikong Bay.

An outdoor dining area adjacent to the cabin includes a table, chairs, firepit, and shelter from the sun thanks to the many cedar and spruce trees. Another firepit close to the shores of Wikwemikong Bay is an ideal location to enjoy storytelling with family and friends or just enjoying the evening.

The location of the cabin is in a relatively unpopulated area and is accessible by any vehicle. It is only a ten minute drive from the main villiage of Wikwemikong. When requested, Wiky Bay Tours will pick you up at a prearranged time to go for a historical pontoon boat ride and visit the many islands close by. During your stops on the islands, you are welcome to go rock hunting and beach combing. Local stories and legends are also told.

Invite some friends over for a relaxing barbecue and have a jolly good time. Let the soft calls of the Loon in the distance lull you to sleep. Watch wild geese and ducks swim by with their families while you relax in this rustic environment.

Enjoy your stay.
